Man’s Authority

It is not easy to go to work every day. Work takes its toll on a body to where it constantly lags behind its desire. Shortness of breath persists. Coughing remains chronic. The urge to urinate becomes inconveniently frequent. Heartbeats can become as irregular as Morse Code. Even so, men press on – Because that is what men do.

We have often been reminded in Christian circles mature men are responsible for themselves and someone else – specifically, their wives. Wives care for their husbands and assist in the nurturing and training of Godly children, which, by reasonable standards should appear fair. Yet many women want more.

When a young woman is assaulted by a rogue male, the mother will typically call the police when they should be calling the father. The responsibility of the police should be to protect the rogue male from the father’s unpredictable method of course correction. When women inject themselves into the roll of men they take away one of a man’s key reasons for being – responsibility. In doing so, they empower themselves at the cost of their own security.

Women are by nature more compliant than men, and, as such, more predictable. When they or someone they care for is put in harm’s way they will cry for help which is normal. There is however nothing predictable about a man’s behavior when someone in his purview is assaulted. The mere knowledge a woman has a faithful man in her life to an extent insulates her from harm. Nevertheless, the onslaught to unseat the natural authority of men is more prevalent than ever.

Pornography conditions the mind to treat women as prey rather than something worthy of protection and is readily available through any cell phone or computer. Engaging in artificial sexual stimulation supplies a rush of power through the illusion of control, but, like any addictive substance, enslaves and weakens by lowering the capacity to resist.

Another key visual persuader is role reversal. Many of today’s popular TV shows and movies now routinely portray women as the protector.  Anyone who has followed wrestling or boxing understands the necessity of competing within a weight class yet the women portrayed in these fantasies are fighting multiple adversaries who are each generally twice their size. Though empowering to women, this too unsettles man’s nature and would explain why a female honor student would choose to stab her female friend to death over a boy both of them would have forgotten by the end of the semester.

The homosexual recruitment industry, gender neutrality and Me Too movements are also designed to chip away at man’s natural authority. If men are caring for each other, many women are left to fend for themselves. If everyone is the same there is no good or bad; no right or wrong. Furthermore, the beauty of diversity which was once held dear becomes obscure. If all men are branded guilty based on the actions of the few, the entity which God chose to be head of the family becomes negated to the extent of being the subject of ridicule.

Since authority and responsibility are two sides of the same coin, and responsibility can only be given by a higher authority, only godly men are potentially equipped to manage such weight. The ungodly take control without responsibility, and, because their authority did not originate from a higher power, it is counterfeit and should be expected to be questioned and continually challenged.

The days of just saying no and simply changing the channel are gone. If you think you can avoid destructive influences, consider it takes only a moment to get even a bad song stuck in your head where it can distract you for hours. Ungodly influences have successfully permeated every home and family and it is time to fight back.

The Bible tells us we fight not against flesh and blood which indicates we are witnessing spiritual warfare. It also states in Joshua 1:8, “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”

Genesis 12:3, “And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.” Without godly fathers leading the charge there can be no family for God to bless. Without godly fathers, there is no model of God’s sovereignty, forgiveness and grace. Without men who relentlessly follow the footsteps of Jesus Christ, there can be no protective spiritual covering. Without the protection of radical god-fearing men, a civilization will be comprised of mediocre drones led by a select few ruling atheists. Without godly men on the front lines those at the top will have successfully coerced everything of value from its citizens which should never have belonged to them without a serious fight. Why is it so important to emasculate men? Because heaven knows, without doing so, they are sure to lose.
